There seems to be a huge effort to discredit Louisiana Governor Jindal after he was chosen by the GOP to prepare a rebuttal speech to President Obama's motivational, well-read and politically charged State of the Union Speech.
Well, regarding the Jindal speech, it appeared to be somewhat unrelated to Obama's so it must have been written and practiced prior. It did not appear as a rebuttal, or an attack on President Obama. Still the left wing media went out of their way to trash the gentlemen. This is unfortunate as Jindal is an American Dream Success Story. He's a really decent guy.
Additionally, Barrack Obama is exceptional at reading the teleprompter, he has a with-it speech writer and is "said" to also discuss the content if not write some of it himself. This is his strong suit, anything but a maximum performance would have been bad, people expect him to speak well.
Obama's speech preempted Jindal's speech and covered all the possible objections in advance, so there was really no response. Further, no GOP senators or Washington Insider politicians wanted to go against Obama's speech for fear of looking bad or becoming the odd man out.
Jindal an outsider to Washington made the response speech, but their strategic approach failed as they did not anticipate Obama's speech being so Reagan'esque. I do not believe most people would have expected that type of speech, but I wouldn't read much into the Republican's future hopes, Jindal is 37 years old.
His speech was fine, but compared to Obama's with a room full of supporters cheering and a huge American backdrop, it's pretty hard to compete. Additionally, the Louisiana Governor was later said to have ruined his career by his speech?
Nonsense, the liberal media made that up, and they keep making that statement, but it is not so, never has been. Apparently, the media believes that with enough repetition they could make is stick. Jindal is 10-years younger than Obama and he has been a tireless dedicated servant to his state.
