Every June the music city of Nashville, TN fills up with thousands of country music fans who flock to the city for a chance to hear and possibly meet their favorite artists. In order to take advantage of the CMA Music Festival you will need to know not only some information on the festival itself but also learn a few things about Nashville that will make your travel around the city much easier.

When traveling to Nashville for the CMA Music Festival you will find that most events will take place right on the river, the venue known as Riverfront Park which is also adjacent to LP Field where the major nightly concerts will take place.

During the day the concerts at Riverfront Park will be abundant and the artists that perform can range from known artists to brand new artists who don't even have a video or radio single out. The Riverfront stages are always surrounded by various things to do that are some music related and some not. The events can range from a songwriters round to a large sponsor having contests.

At night you will want to make sure you see the concert at LP Field right across the river from the day events. There are numerous companies that provide transportation to the concert. The stadium style concerts will feature many of the top artists in country music all in one place right after another. For a serious country music fan who attends many concerts this is something you cannot beat and will really give you the best value for your money. Other events at LP Field include fireworks as well that accompany the concerts adding an extra dimension.

For many serious country music fans who are attending the CMA Music Festival it is essential that you visit a few places in Nashville that play a huge part in country music history. The first place you will want to visit is the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum; it features stories and fun things to do as well as memorabilia from just about every key event and person in country music history. Another must see place is the Grand Ole Opry which is without a doubt the most famous venue in country music past and present, it is also walking distance from many of the CMA Festival Events. Last but not least if you have extra time you will want to check out the Ryman Auditorium and the popular songwriter venues of Tootsie's and the Bluebird Café. The CMA Fest can be a great experience that you will remember for a lifetime, take advantage of all that Nashville has to offer and also attend every "meet and greet" so you can get an autograph and talk to your favorite artist or personality.
