10 Best European Cruises

Why cruise on the sea? You can experience a completely different vacation by cruising the rivers.

1. Guadalquivir River

While cruising the Guadalquivir river, you will truly experience the country, it's culture, food and wine. You will make a stop to the cities of Jerez and Seville. The ships are very comfortable.

2. Volga River

It may not be the most luxurious cruise but it certainly has it's charms. But don't worry, the cabins are comfortable enough and the food served on-board is great. So go cruise the longest European river.

3. Rhine River

You will cruise an a great boat trough five countries while a team of great chefs prepare your extremely delicious meals. You will see fairytale castles in Germany and party in Amsterdam!

4. Gota Canal

This one is in Sweden. This one isn't a five star cruise either. The showers and toilets are shared. But if you don't mind that, you should go for this romantic cruise from Stockholm to Gothenburg.

5. Dnieper River

This one is a bit longer - you will sail 17 days from Kiev, Ukraine to Istanbul, Turkey. But it's worth it! Also the ship is comfortable and luxurious, the food is fantastic.

6. Elbe River

This cruise begins in Berlin. You will see Eastern Germany and a bit Czech Republic. It lasts for 12 days and a four star ship offers you everything you need to feel comfortable and safe.

7. Douro River

This one floats in Portugal and Spain. Great cruise for wine lovers! This cruise includes some fabulous wine making parts of the two countries. The ship is great, it even has an on board swimming pool!

8. Rhone River

Cruise trough France. Extremely romantic trip trough Rhone Valley with some great excursions available. The boat is better then some of the five star hotels.

9. Po River

If Italy sounds attractive, go cruising it's longest river (although this is the shortest trip on this list - it lasts only 6 days). The ship is quite good, and the on-board food is great.

10. Danube River

I'm sure you've heard the most famous waltz ever! So why not cruise the Blue Danube? The trip starts in Germany (Passau) and ends in Hungary (Budapest). The ship is really impressive and comfortable.
