Looking Younger During the Day

While we can camouflage our age during the night by dabbing on an extra layer of foundation and intelligently manipulating shades and colors with cosmetics, it's harder to camouflage your age during the daytime. But this is not to say it's impossible.

First and foremost, something needs to be done to your appearance. In order to look youthful, you don't have to dress like a teenager when you're not one! Egad, that would age you instead of make you look younger. Instead, you should dress according to your age and personality. Go for colors those compliment your skin tone and design that accentuates your good points and downplay other parts. Don't forget to go for that trim and highlights when the time comes. An out-of-shape or out-of-date hairstyle can age you by a lot. Go for good hairdressers who can tailor-make a hairstyle to shave off some years. A little help from cosmetics, fragrances, lighting and dressing doesn't hurt and it's a given gift from above, it is not cheating.

You can wear all kinds of clothes in an effort to look young but if the largest organ on your body is not receiving any attention from you, all your effort to camouflage your age would end up in the bin. I am talking about your skin. You need good skin - well, not exactly wrinkle-free skin (because that would mean going under the knife and I don't encourage that) but radiant and blemish-free skin would be good. Although some people are blessed with better skin than others, this doesn't mean an end-all be-all for those who are not. Follow a good regime, drink lots of water, exercise your face and give it a gentle massage before you sleep and take the advice from your dermatologist seriously.

Most of all, in order to look younger, you'll need to FEEL younger too. It matters not what clothes you don if you look and behave like you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders! Revel in the lifestyle that you live, live and live fully and unconditionally. And this can be done by exercising your body regularly. There's nothing in this world that fights aging like exercise does....including pimples, wrinkles and cellulite! Generally speaking, if you live an active lifestyle, you tend to behave younger and have radiant skin very naturally. You don't have to think about enrolling yourself into gym or hiring a personal trainer the way celebrities do (unless you want and can afford to, of course) because you can always hit the park, walk the dog, do jumping jacks in front of the television, roll your hips in the kitchen or do some simple yoga exercises at home!

And remember, whatever you put into your mouth is reflected on your face. So, eat a healthy diet, drinks lots of water and cut out as much toxic stuff as possible from your diet. Avoid food that will make you old before your time In fact, if you want to look younger, add a glass of wine to the end of your meal because it's a proven fact that drinking wine helps slow down the aging process because of its antioxidant properties.

The beginning, as I always say, is the hard part. Once you continue to practice your new regime for 22 days flat, it becomes a habit and you'd feel out of sorts if you don't do it. That's what you're looking for and within a few weeks, I promise you you will start looking and feeling YEARS younger even during the day and don't have to depend on makeup, clothes and accessories as much as before.
