How to Flatten Abs in 5 Days and Bend a 10 Penny Nail on Them

OK. I drank too much Yoo-Hoos last night and dreamed up this ridiculous title... OK. I just lied again... I wouldn't touch a single can of Yoo-Hoo with a ten foot pole. So sue me. I just wanted to make a point.

That a lot of folks want to get rid of their belly fat immediately... and the reality is it isn't going to happen that soon.

You spent probably years getting to the point where you are now... but relatively speaking... you CAN however, flatten your belly a lot sooner!

How about 6 months for instance if you are really out of shape and put on a lot of weight. It can be sooner for those who are thinner...

And I can't begin to tell you how many times I get asked that question... how to flatten my abs? It can be done and I have done it this past year...

Yep... you heard it right... someone who writes all these great fitness articles got fat?

Sadly it's true... but it was for a good cause! You see, I was "bulking up" my muscles. And in order to do that... you have to eat surplus calories...

To make a long story short... when I switch to a fat loss program... my waist went from 37 inches to a lean 34 inches. It took me two months to do this and by body fat percentage went below 10% where you can see your abs!

Pretty cool huh? And you can do exactly the same thing...

But for the purposes of this article...

I want you to stay away from these two things... diet pills and ab machines. Neither work nor they both are a scam that is designed to separate you from your hard earned money.

Now we get to the typical belief systems that many folks have... that losing belly fat is just a matter of doing a bunch of ab specific exercises.

Nothing can be further from the truth. Have you watched the Olympics? If you notice that Michael Phelps, the Olympic swimmer has six pack abs. He got it from doing a lot of exercises... but not ab specific ones.

You heard me right... ab specific exercises are important to develop your ab muscles but you will never see those until you get rid of that layer of belly fat that is covering the abs up.

And doing ab specific exercises is a very poor and inefficient way to burn belly fat. The much better way is to do full body workouts that stimulates your hormones and stokes the fires of your metabolism so that your body will naturally start to burn up your belly fat.

It doesn't happen overnight but as sure as rain in the state of Washington... your belly will start to flatten.

Here is the best kind of workout you need to do to flatten your abs... Interval workouts, strength workouts and some ab workouts. But mostly interval and strength workouts.

And don't forget to eat a clean diet of good quality proteins, good fats and complex carbs.
